Successful candidate will serve as an Attending Physician to a portion of the inpatient population, and play an integral role in the in/outpatient treatment of children with special healthcare needs. Responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing, directing and leading team(s) to meet comprehensive medical and rehabilitative patient care needs
  • Interpreting patient behavior based upon an understanding of cognitive, biophysical, and aging processes
  • Communicating and incorporating relevant research findings into practice, education and consultation
  • Leading and improving departmental performance
  • Coordinating the development and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Conducting training and orientation sessions
  • Recognizing and ensuring the continuity and completeness of care

    To qualify, you must be Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatrics or other appropriate discipline, have a current NJ MD License, current Federal Narcotics License, experience in the management of children with special needs, along with the ability to use good judgment and medical skill during acute illness or emergency conditions. Excellent organizational, oral/written communication and leadership skills are all essential.

    Central Jersey - The General Pediatric Division at Rutgers - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is seeking an MD/DO, BC/BE general pediatrician whose major responsibility will be providing patient care at out faculty practice at One World's Fair Drive, Somerset, NJ.
    Responsibilities include care of healthy and complex medically fragile children, rounding in the newborn nursery and on wards.
